Now I have to watch Marjorie Morningstar as well! I read the book in my youth, but never saw the film. I'll watch it after I watch Lady in the Lake.

You look great! I just finished re-reading “Lady in the Lake” in preparation for watching the series on Apple. I didn’t catch the Tess connection the first read (duh!). It was an even better book the 2nd time around. I have read and/or listened to all your books. Now I may need to go back & read the Tess books again. ❤️ your writing!!!

I'm looking forward to it. And I love your dress. But the shoes are the real prize here. Other than what is in them.

The shoes are Stuart Weitzman platforms that I bought in the early weeks of the pandemic. They are surprisingly versatile and, while I wouldn’t want to walk distances in them, relatively comfortable.

Looks like the Weitzman "Dayna" platform. All sold out in red but still being made in other colors.

Fabulous outfit and I look forward to watching the series. I’m a fan of Marjorie Morningstar. I read it after reading Will Schwalbe’s End of Your Life Book Club (about his wonderful mother who was my college counselor in high school). Congratulations on the series and enjoy the summer!

I am very proud of this look because a) it’s a jumpsuit and b) I ordered it online and had it sent to NYC because it couldn't arrive in Baltimore in time, and then I brought a back-up dress just in case. Also, I will text you a close-up of the vintage purse, earrings bought on Etsy and the ring, which is very special. (The moment the man at the The Store LTD told me: “It was meant to be worn on the middle finger,” I knew I had to have it.)

Mediated response, this Lady in the Lake. Learned that in the Literary Criticism class I took long ago. We watched the 80’s movie of Handmaid’s Tale. Have not watched the series. When they added a second season, I veered away.

I am looking forward to watching Lady in the Lake. Will read again afterwards. Copies of Sunburn are showing up in the Friends of the Library bookstore where I volunteer twice a month. Three times if we have five Wednesdays.

Thank you for rummaging through your brain to find this origin story. Much appreciated. Love the dress. Would break my neck in those shoes.
