My copy is on the way! I CAN'T WAIT!!! :D I was never a writer, but dearly love to read great books, so I'm deeply grateful that it's what you love to do. Whatever you make from doing it is never going to be as much as it's worth to me when I read it, though I wish it was!!!
Many congrats! Your success is well-deserved. And on this pub day, a funny LMW comment: I recently encountered a publicist named KatieRose. Of course I asked if she was named for the books. She IS! Her mom always loved the name & now both are intrigued by the LL habit of hiding an LMW reference in novels. KR & her mom are about to become your 2 newest fans, starting w/Prom Mom.
This is so funny because I was working on my book this morning and I realized that a character who commented on how another character's feelings were too readily evident in her face was channeling Katie Rose's French teacher.
oh mais oui, Madame Mee-lair I think? Who told Katie Rose that her eyes told too much! I am sure LMW would be amused, and grateful, that her characters are still here with a hold on many of our hearts--and sliding into the pages of equally memorable LL bestsellers!
Congrats! Publishing will suck the life out of you. Lol, the ex always claims to be more supportive! 🙄🤣 My vote goes to the orange dress and pink shoes. It’s fun, bright, complements your skin, and on point, color-wise.
Allllll the dresses, yes! Also: Publishing makes me feel as if I’m naked, scavenging pizza crusts from a garbage can while screaming: “DON’T LOOK AT ME.” Get outta my head, Laura Lippman. xo
Congratulations on the release of Prom Mom!! I can’t wait to read it and feature it at our book club. Looking forward to catching you on your book tour.
Laughed out loud at the Lamott passage. Ha! About the outfits, may I vote on favorites? I say they are all fire, but 2, 3, and 4 must make the cut. I insist. Also, I think touring is sometimes the only thing that can convince you that you really did publish the darn thing. You look at those faces and know others really know about it and care. Put a face to the people you wrote it for. Enjoy the hell out of it, Lippman. 🥰✊🏽
Whhoooo to pub day. I am excited about reading Prom Mom. Your tour clothing line up looks fantastic. Love the red top/black print pants and the pink and red and orange dresses in particular.
Laura, my book comes out in a week and I really needed this today--the nude pizza crust scavenging image is apt. Sending you a big hug and a congratulations balloon. Can't wait to read PROM MOM!
I think part of the weirdness is that this is my first post-Covid tour, I haven't done anything like this since 2019! Have a great release week and I will get your book the day it comes out.
It’s funny how the ex’s always recall being supportive. Congratulations!
The wardrobe is gorgeous! Congratulations and give 'em hell on the book tour.
Love love love this. Happy pub day/week Laura! So here for all the book tour fashion and the wisdom about writing to write, not to publish.

ALL these looks are absolutely FABULOUS!!!! Xoxox

Congrats on pub date!
Love the Anne Lamott quote.
And love all the looks! I'm pretty sure I recognize that beautiful pink floral maxi with the short sleeves as being by Cynthia Rowley. Yes?
It is!

My copy’s in transit. Break a leg and sell a ton!
Huge congratulations!
Thank you!
Just got mine! Posting on all my platforms. 🥰
Happy Book Release!

Thank you! (and yeah, my last novel came out in 2017...and a lot has happened since then!...)
